The sling should be stored away from heat sources such as open flames, welding operations, or hot equipment. Prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or ultraviolet radiation should be avoided, as UV can gradually weaken polyester fibers over time.
After each use, the sling should be placed on racks or shelves rather than directly on the ground. Ground contact may introduce moisture, dirt, or sharp debris that can accelerate wear. If the sling is used in humid or wet conditions, it should be fully dried before storage to prevent mildew or material degradation.

During lifting, the sling should remain flat and untwisted, and knots must never be tied in the webbing, as this significantly reduces load capacity.
The working load limit must not be exceeded under any circumstances. Sharp edges or corners on the load should be protected to prevent cutting or abrasion of the sling. The sling should never be dragged across rough surfaces or pulled out from under a load, as this can cause hidden internal damage.
Sudden shock loading, jerking, or impact forces should be avoided, as these can place excessive stress on the webbing. Polyester material offers good resistance to inorganic acids, but it may be affected by organic acids. If the sling is exposed to chemicals, extreme temperatures, or unusual working conditions, professional guidance should be obtained before continued use.
The sling must be removed from service immediately if there are cuts, deep abrasions, or partial tearing of the webbing. Severe surface wear that reduces the effective width by approximately ten percent indicates that the sling has reached the end of its safe service life.
